Problem Solved

U.N. Security Council Passes Statement on Iran.

The document was adopted by consensus and without a vote after a flurry of negotiations among the five veto-wielding council members. In the end, Britain, France and the United States made several concessions to China and Russia, Iran's allies, who wanted as mild a statement as possible.

I anxiously await the worldwide protests against China and Russia. No nukes for oil, man!

The French National Pastime

John Hinderaker sums up my thoughts on the latest riots in France:

The purpose of the plan, obviously, is to cut into France's sky-high unemployment by allowing employers to hire young workers without making what has become virtually a lifetime commitment. If France's university graduates are so ignorant of economics that they really can't understand this, that country is in even deeper trouble than we thought.

Indo-American Partnership

I think this is a step in the right direction: U.S. and India reach nuclear deal. More on America and India from James Na, Selig S. Harrison, and the Chicago Tribune. All links were found at RealClearPolitics. I'm sure Abigail will appreciate the "Pride and Prejudice" reference in the Tribune column.
