The Tyranny of the Judicial Branch (and the Senate Dems)
Liberal activist judges being appointed to, and serving on, federal courts is an issue about which every American should care deeply. The mainstream media won't discuss this serious problem much since they agree that these judges should be legislating their liberal social agenda from the bench. This agenda includes support for abortion on demand, gay marriage, affirmative action, and further instilling their warped notion of separation of church and state. President Bush has been nominating judges with the more traditional view that he/she should interpret the law, not make it. Unfortunately, these well-qualified nominees continue to run into filibusters staged by Democrats in the Senate denying their confirmation vote. With the next president likely to get the opportunity to place at least two justices on the Supreme Court, this election will be crucial in determining the makeup of the Court for many years to come. President Bush should drive this issue home in tonight's debate.
